BOURJOIS PARIS | ONE FC

HIIII hahah I know this is so long overdue but I've been so busy :( and not bumming my hols away so much this time. Interning at SNATCH!, TheSmartLocal's sister company and this new app that'll be launching soon! Last Monday was actually my first day at work haha and it's really different from all my other events jobs in terms of how much more effort I've got to put in :/ Will blog about it next time round!

Anyway Bourjois Paris so kindly gave a box of makeup goodies during their event a few backs back! I'm using the Bourjois Brow design and really loving it. Along with Bourjois' lip rouge that smells like candy HAHA <3

Yes I know my ponytails are damn kiddy but it's been way too hot in Sg these day >:(

The event was held at Le Comptoir and it was really so much fun ^^

There were macarons, drinks, roses, a manicure booth, a makeover table, the best Nutella cake rolls... basically everything a girl could ask for.

The memory game that I failed terribly at HAHAHAH.

Plus we got to test out the whole range of products they brought down and the foundation and concealer are really good guys. Not being biased here. I've tried high end foundations from Estee Lauder/Laura Mercier/Smashbox and what not but they're always cakey and the application isn't as smooth so if you guys are on a budget and want a good product, I'll definitely recommend this. The coverage is really good without compromising it's lightweight composition and did I mention the smell is phenomenal?? Your face will smell like...roses after this HAHAHA

They were so generous with their goodies it even came with sunglasses hahah so cute <3

I haven't managed to try everything but I really love the eyebrow brush. It's a little darker than my hair colour but I prefer my brows a little darker anyway. I love how easy it is to apply and it lasts the whole day without smudging ^^
There were two lip shades given as part of Bourjois's Rouge Edition AQUA Laque line and I need to give credit where it's due cause I'm seriously loving the colour (and the smell) <3

Tried the darker shade along with the brow brush cause I was bored at home and wanted to follow some Kylie Jenner makeup tutorial HAHAHA don't judge ok I swear I'm pretty sure a ton of other girls play with their clothes and makeup at home HAHA

Ok maybe I don't look anything like Kylie Jenner or whatever la but I still really like the look and my brows are saved after more than a year of not touching up hahaha yes I'm a total ogress..

Bourjois products can be found at any Watsons/Guardian stores :)

Also worked at the Indoor stadium the other day for the One FC match! Super exciting and I was working right next to the ring though I must admit I was super horrified cause I could hear each hit :/ and see the blood omg.

OK BYEEEEE need to rush off to catch MAD MAX HAHAH IM SO EXCITED K BYE GUYS!!! <3

THE COMB HAIR STUDIO

HI GUYS! Recently got my hair dyed at The Comb! My new hair colour haha it's not a very drastic difference cause I didn't want to make a big change before finals.

The Comb is a recently established hair salon along Club Street and I really have to say, I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH. The place is so comfortable and minimalistic. I'm usually quite lackadaisical about my hair, nails, skin or whatever la hahah but my friend Rachel invited me down to get my hair done and I had such a good experience there ^^

Haha ok this is my hair before getting dyed and treated. I hadn't dyed my hair for about 2 to 3 months so the roots were all grown out ugh :/
Omg look at my roots ok damn last warning. And the back of my hair was really uneven :(
Honestly what really impressed me about the place was the service. Everyone here was really friendly and they spare no expense in making you feel comfortable. From the music, to the decor and the toilet and even the coffee they serve. AND GUYS the coffee is amazing HAHAHA ok I know that's not the main point but next time you're doing your hair here, ask for a cup of their coffee. It's so creamy omg <3 it's like drinking a piping hot cup of steamed milk coffee. Legit one of the best coffees I've had hahaha.

My stylist was really good I'm so happy with my hair colour. Something not too dark but still ash brown :) and he curled it so nicely <3

I'm usually quite touchy about people handling my hair or my brows or lashes or face HAHAH so I kept asking and double checking with him the colour of my hair again and again but he was really patient. Had wayyyy too many bad experiences in the past man haha so I'm glad to find a place I can finally settle on <3

Ok more pictures of the colour and curls
I love ashy tones :) Gonna dye it really dark ash/black in about a month plus once my roots grow out again!

The salon is located right opposite Club Street Social so when you're out having brunch or tea, you can pop by and get your hair done or go for drinks after at Club Street :)

For more info head on to their FB page!

Quote, QING and get 20% off your hair service :)

Lemme know how your experience at The Comb goes, have a good remaining labour day weekend and for those having finals next week, HANG IN THERE GUYS WE'RE ALMOST DONE <3

CNY | BATAM | FHM 2015

HIII GUYS Hahah it's been way way too long since I've updated this space :( 2015 has been so intense really but it's been amazing thus far. I'm gonna try and keep this short and just post the photos from CNY till now! HAHA yes I realise I'm like 3 months lagging hahahah

CNY outfit day 1! Bought a cheongsam from some random store like at the side of some street in chinatown HAHAHAHA

 My sister's face HAHAH tsk

CNY outfit day 2

Went to Batam earlier this year! It was so last minute HAHAH J was like eh do you wanna go and I just said ok and there we were haha. 45 minutes away and in Indonesia already?! Am I the only one who finds that weird?!?! I take 45 minutes on the bus to get to town and in that span of time I'm already in a different country O_O
It was raining when we were on the way there so I took a short nap and when we woke up, went for drinks at the jetty area
AND OUR SATAY HAHAHAH I felt so blessed I really can't explain it. Being away from home and all you need to do is eat and sleep and worry about what to eat the next day HAHAHAH. BEST FEELING EVER
Idk where all the people were I swear it was just the two of us most of the way

Anyways I know everyone always says the same thing about Batam: that it's boring and there's nothing to do there. Granted there really isn't much to do there la. There aren't huge shopping malls or brands or maybe I just didn't see any but I enjoyed myself so I think because there was nothing for me to do. If left to my own devices I would probably rot away into a puddle hahahah. Yes eating again.. Quite evidently our favourite pastime

We stayed at Turi Beach resort, not too far from Montigo and me being me, spent the whole time sleeping hahaha. The room was really way too comfortable though I mean look at it. HOW NOT TO SLEEP RIGHT.
And the ceiling is damn high and the room really airy

Every morning the view that greets you is just so beautiful I wish I could live on the beach in some hut :')

Spent about 4 days 3 nights there and most of the time I was just sleeping or bumming around HAHAHA. Which in hindsight I really regret doing cause I came back and found how much work I had to do :'( If only I could be a bum for a living right.

We went during an off peak period and on a weekday so there was barely anybody at the resort it really felt like our own island HAHA

Went Jet skiing on our second last day haha and Jerome was forcibly obliged to come on with me cause I can't swim. Oops hahaha. For someone who can't swim, I really should be more fearful of water...

AND JET SKIING WAS SO FUN GUYS. It's like riding a water motorcycle I swear it's like VROOM and when it jumps over the waves and crashes down ITS FREAKING FUN?!?! AND DAMN SCARY HAHAHA I LOVE IT. The waves were massive though. Idk maybe it's cause I've never been out in the middle of the sea like that before but the waves had waves I KID YOU NOT I was damn scared tbh HAHAHA

Went to Hong Kong in April too but I'll do a separate post for that cause there's too much to write! Then it was back to school. I died just looking at the amount of work that I'd managed to accumulate

Honestly super irresponsible of me to just run off to Batam and HK in the middle of school but... AIYA. My new sneakers made up for it a bit haha.

And cake...Cake always helps.

Honeybee <3 Really one of the best friends a girl could ask for <3

And also the other noteworthy thing of April was that I joined FHM :/

Aye I know it's quite the unexpected move and I weighed the pros and cons extensively before joining trust me. I knew the potential consequences and granted there might be some less than savoury things that'll come with it but the people who matter most support me and that's all I can ask for :) Just gonna go with it and see where it goes but it's really been inexperience like none other so far. HAHA AND THE MUCH NEEDED MOTIVATION FOR ME TO FINALLY GO EXERCISE. I'm like into my second week of the Kayla Itisines programme HAHAHA so hopefully by finals on the 6th of June, there'll be some difference HAHA. But legit man I can't even cough without my stomach/fake abs hurting :(

Oh right before I forget, hahaha if you like, do drop a vote at the FHM fb page or just click on either of the links below. The first for computers and the second if you're on your mobile! Haha it'll mean a lot to me, really :)

HAHAHA OMG I WAS SMILING SO MUCH CAUSE I WAS SO NERVOUS THAT MY SHOE WAS GONNA FLY OFF

Ok well that's all from me for now HAHA back to attempting and failing to study :'(

Have a great labour day weekend ahead guys!
